Without the gel the feet make poor contact with the Wentong footplate, and the belt heats dry skin unevenly. The action of the extracts is described in the language of the tradition: angelica activates circulation and clears stagnation, lovage “improves the flow of Qi and blood”, ginseng relieves swelling, safflower evens out skin tone, hyaluronate restores the barrier.

The gel is a consumable for two devices. For Wentong 1.0 it is applied to the whole sole of both feet before the session, and you make sure the gel stays moist during the session: that is how the foot keeps firm contact with the footplate. For the warming belt — on the waist and abdomen, film on top, then the belt.

Contact, warmth, plants
With Wentong. Apply a sufficient amount evenly to the whole sole of both feet before the session starts. If the gel has dried — add more: dry contact with the footplate reduces the effect of the session.
With the belt. Apply to the waist and abdomen, cover with polyethylene film, put on the belt.

Can I do without the gel?
The gel is part of the Wentong procedure in the instructions: it provides contact between the foot and the footplate. On dry feet the session works worse.
How much to apply?
A “sufficient amount” over the whole sole — enough for the gel to stay moist through the session. Dried up — add more.
Does it warm by itself?
It gives a feeling of warmth thanks to camphor and borneol. The main heat comes from the device or the belt.
Is it suitable for massage?
The stated purpose is sessions with Wentong and the belt. For other uses go by tolerance: external only, not in the eyes.
